A revision brings a delivery in line with the scope you agreed. It is not a way to get more than you agreed.
Requesting one
Open the submission and choose to request a revision. Say specifically:
- what the accepted proposal required;
- what was delivered;
- what the difference is.
"The proposal covers multivariate regression with interaction terms; the output has main effects only" is actionable. "This isn't what I wanted" is not.
Revision or scope change?
Revision: the deliverable does not match what was agreed. Covered by your allowance.
Scope change: you want something the proposal did not cover. Needs a new milestone with its own fee. An expert who agrees to do it inside the original fee is doing you a favour, not meeting an obligation.
Your allowance
The accepted proposal states how many revisions are included. Once exhausted, further changes are a scope change.
While a revision is open
Escrow stays funded and untouched. Nothing releases to the expert until you approve.
If revision does not fix it
Raise a dispute.
