Accepting a proposal forms a contract between you and the expert on that proposal's terms, subject to the Terms of Service.
What happens
- You accept the proposal in Offers.
- The project moves to Active Projects for both of you.
- A project chat opens for everything related to the work.
- You fund the first milestone. The expert begins once it is funded.
Do these first
- Share the material. Data, prior drafts, institutional guidance, the journal's author instructions.
- Confirm the deadline in the chat, in writing.
- Say what "done" looks like for milestone one.
Keep it on the platform
Discuss the work in the project chat, not by private email. The chat is the record a dispute would be decided on. An agreement made somewhere we cannot see is an agreement we cannot enforce.
