Refundable
- Funded but unstarted milestones, in full.
- Non-delivery.
- Delivery materially outside the agreed scope.
- A missed agreed deadline, without agreement.
- A breach of the Academic Integrity Policy.
Not refundable
- An approved milestone. Approval is the act that pays the expert.
- A change of mind after approval.
- Rejection by a supervisor, journal or institution.
- An outcome the brief did not specify.
Research is not a guaranteed-outcome service. Competent execution of an agreed analysis is the deliverable; a particular finding is not.
How to request one
Raise a dispute on the milestone. Refunds are decided through dispute resolution.
