Settings → Preferences controls what work reaches you. Left at defaults, you will be matched against briefs you do not want.
Professional preferences
- Research disciplines and methodologies: the two fields matching weighs most.
- Skills and preferred project types.
- Minimum project budget: filters out work below your rate before it reaches you.
- Preferred project size and preferred deadlines.
- Availability and maximum active projects: when you are at your maximum, matching stops suggesting you, which protects both your delivery record and clients' time.
Project preferences
- Receive suitable project recommendations automatically
- Accept direct project invitations from clients
- Available for urgent projects
- Remote collaboration preference
Turning off invitations does not hide your profile; it stops clients contacting you cold.
Notifications
Choose which of new matches, proposal updates, client messages, milestone updates, payment notifications and marketing email reach you. Payment and milestone notifications are worth keeping on. They carry deadlines.
Privacy
Control whether your profile, portfolio and publications are publicly visible or only shown to clients you are engaged with.
Saving
Changes save on Save changes and confirm with a success message. If a save fails, the error names the field.
