How it works
Build a profile that matching can read
Qualification, institution, field, methodologies, skills, publications and a summary that names what you have actually done. Matching works on method and field, so specificity is what brings you work.
Receive briefs that fit
Set your disciplines, minimum budget, availability and maximum active projects in Preferences. Work outside those bounds stops reaching you.
Propose on your terms
State the scope, the milestones, the fee, the deadline and how many revisions are included. An accepted proposal is the contract — and the thing a dispute is decided against.
Work against funded milestones
The client funds a milestone before you begin it. You never start work that is not already paid for into escrow.
Deliver and get paid
Submit through the platform. On approval the fee releases to your balance, less the service fee you saw before accepting. If the client goes quiet, the review window releases it anyway.
Withdraw
Move your balance to a bank account or PayPal. Charges are shown before you confirm, never after.
What the platform actually does for you
- You are never working unfunded
- A milestone is funded before it starts. The most common way research work goes unpaid — delivering first and asking after — is structurally impossible here.
- Silence does not cost you
- Every milestone carries a review window. If a client neither approves nor raises anything within it, the milestone auto-releases to you. You do not have to chase.
- Scope is written down
- Disputes are decided on the accepted proposal against what was delivered — not on what anyone later says they expected. A specific proposal is your protection.
- Cheating requests are not your problem to manage
- The platform prohibits work intended for submission as the client's own. You decline and report; you are not negotiating the ethics of every brief on your own.
What we ask of you
Evidence what you claim. Qualifications, affiliation and publications on your profile must be true and, where we ask, supported by a CV, certificate or institutional email. Misrepresentation is grounds for permanent closure.
Decline work that crosses the line. You must refuse any project requiring academic misconduct — coursework or a thesis intended for submission as the client's own work, fabricated data, bought authorship — whatever the fee, even when the client proposed it. The Academic Guidelines set out where the line sits, with examples.
Keep it on the platform. Work, payment and discussion stay here. Taking a transaction off-platform removes your escrow protection entirely.
Say it early when something slips. A client told before a deadline will usually agree a new one. A client told afterwards raises a dispute.
